Various warnings that may come up in my tags are below, and you are free to opt-out of ANY of them. Please just let me know!

Opt-In (Fourth Wall)
Deadpool has a natural "ability," if you can call it that, to observe and remark on the fourth wall, as well as sometimes physically interact with it (e.g., removing gum from the camera lens that is currently filming him.) In RP, this could be anything from commenting on a tag's icon to noting the difficulties that come from trying to make a visual joke when he's been forced into a writing medium. He has a hell of a lot of knowledge particularly about pop culture, the X-Men, Marvel comics and movies, DC comics and movies, and real world events (with his current time being 2024). And probably a lot of TLC reality shows and Great British Bake-Off episodes, honestly.
Often, references breaking the fourth wall will come up in his jokes. These cracks in the fourth wall are typically for humour only and are not meant to encourage or solicit any drama in threads -- though I am happy to do so if anyone would like him to inflict their characters with Forbidden Knowledge (if he's likely to know it! He also can not know some things (because I don't know it) or get confused, like how he's pretty sure Luke Skywalker nailed his sister.)
If you don't opt-in, I won't have him do more than make side remarks about himself or his canon that can be easily overlooked. Characters in canon will usually ignore him when he breaks the fourth wall, so yours is free to do the same! If you want to opt out of interacting with the fourth wall element altogether, you can use the opt-out section.
If you do opt-in, please use the form below to let me know what your preferences are! I want to do my best to not step on toes or be annoying with it (though Wade is also naturally annoying, so). Also, Deadpool will never explicitly tell people they are fictional or that he's watched them in a movie or anything. That's not his brand of fourth wall breaking.

Background / Opt-Out
Deadpool comes from the XMCU, which deals with topics such as discrimination, racism (metaphorical and actual), violence against minorities, genocide, etc. Deadpool's personal story involves a lot of human experimentation, body horror, torture, suicidal ideation and memories of actual suicide attempts. He is currently afflicted with cancer and visually affected by it as well.
It is not completely confirmed in the MCU movies specifically, but Wade has frequently made references to being sexually harassed as a child, and instinctively recognized abuse in a teenage boy in the second movie in a way that implies that he has experience of his own. In the comics instances of this have been made canon, but I typically will not ever bring these topics up, though in very specific situations it may come up in his inner monologues (which I will warn for). While he can get away with it in a movie, my goal is to be funny but not to push the envelope to offensive in an otherwise casual thread. :)
Aside from the paragraph directly above, these topics are all likely to come up eventually just because they're so integrated into his character, but you can leave a comment using the form below with OPT-OUT in the subject line if there's any topic you would like to avoid.

Also additionally, Wade's humour involves a lot of sex jokes, and yes, the majority are either dick jokes or at his own expense. Some actions he's taken in the movies more than border harassment, but it is usually towards bad guys. It's all a joke, of course! Except he actually really wants to be nailed by a guy with a Winter Soldier arm one day. Either way, you're free to also opt-out of these jokes if you'd like! Just let me know.
